Cleaning Mechanism
By simply raising the cleaning lever as shown above, the different sized filter elements are squeezed, expelling the solid waste. Opening the flush valve allows the waste to be flushed from the filter.

Simply raise the cleaning lever to squeeze the filter foam elements. They do NOT have to be removed from the filter tub.

The OASE Filtoclear pressurized filters provide outstanding filtration and are very easy to use. The Filtoclear is simple to install unobtrusively either above or below the water level, especially in highly landscaped pond environments. It delivers professional performance for watercourses and waterfalls. The Filtoclear comes complete with an integrated OASE Bitron UVC, inlet and outlet fittings, a multi-directional valve for cleaning and clear rinsing, an integrated cleaning mechanism for filter sponges, and a UV lamp indicator. The built-in clarifier aids in the control of algae growth without having to resort to chemical treatments. Maintenance is quick and uncomplicated with the unique EASYCLEAN mechanism with multi-direction valve.

Filtration
Algae and dirt are clumped together by the integrated UVC clarifier. The treated water then flows through the filter unit's fine mechanical and coarse biological filter elements which support the filtration process and clarify the water. The water then flows back into the pond, either via a waterfall or a water feature.

Cleaning
Cleaning the Filtoclear filters couldn't be easier. No need to remove the filter lid and deal with the mess. By simply raising the cleaning lever, the filter elements are squeezed, expelling the solid waste. Opening the flush valve allows the solids to be flushed from the filter into your garden by the normal flow of the pump. Then simply turn the rotary switch back to normal to resume normal filtering action.

Important

	DO NOT USE pressurized pond filters in combination with high-pressure waterfall pumps
	Maximum pump input pressure: 195 in. max. head or 7.3 psi (5.0 meters max. head or 0.5 bar)
	Recommended for use in combination with OASE Aquamax SF Filtration Pumps
	To ensure maximum circulation through the filter, it is best to keep the hose short and the pumping height to a minimum, especially on the discharge side of the filter
	Maximum height difference between filter lid and water outlet: 72 in. (1.8 meters)
	UVC MUST be plugged in to a properly grounded and GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) protected 120 Volt outlet !
	For safety reasons, the Filtoclear Filter should be placed at least 6.5 feet (2.0 meters) from the edge of the pond
	This product will not eliminate blanketweed/string algae
	Not for use in swimming pools or salt water
