Pond-Mag Pump that is included with each Cyprio Bioforce Pond Filtration
Package has been selected to supply the Bioforce Pond Filter with the perfect
(or as close to it as possible) amount of water when installed at ground
level adjacent to the pond. Please see the illustration shown below.

type of installation is only suitable for a small amount of vertical lift
and a short hose run after the filter discharge. To see more details on
each of the pumps, please click on the pump model listed for each kit. |
If you have
a high lift to a waterfall or a long tubing run, for example, we suggest
to install the Bioforce Pond Filter at the top of your waterfall rather
than at ground level and selecting suitable components separately and upgrading
to a larger pump as required. Select a pump that
is capable of supplying the maximum amount of flow
that the filter is rated for at the head rating applicable to your
installation.

The Supreme
Pondmaster Pond-Mag 2 Pump supplied with the Bioforce 500 Pond Filtration
Package delivers 250 GPH max. at a zero foot head. If the Bioforce 500
Pond Filter is installed at ground level adjacent to the pond, the flow
rate supplied by the pump will be close to the maximum of 250 GPH that
the filter is designed for, and the ratings for maximum effective pond
volume shown in the chart above apply.
However, if
you have a high lift up to the top of a waterfall or have a long tubing
run after the filter, the pump's flow rate decreases accordingly. At a
4 foot head, for example (= 3 ft. vertical lift from pond surface level
to a waterfall + 10 ft. of tubing), the flow rate of the Pond-Mag 2 Pump
drops down to 125 GPH (please see pump performance
chart for details). This in turn affects the performance of the entire
system, and the Bioforce 500 Pond Filtration Package is thus no longer
suitable for a 500 gallon goldfish pond as shown in the chart.
In this particular
case, we recommend to install the Bioforce Pond Filter at the top of the
waterfall instead and upgrading to the Pond-Mag 3 Pump (please
see pump performance chart for details). With the Bioforce Pond Filter
installed at the top of a 3 ft. high waterfall (measured from pond surface
level) and using 10 ft. of tubing between the pump and the filter intake,
the flow rate of the Pond-Mag 3 Pump is 260 GPH (at a 4 ft. head) which
is well within the design parameters of the filter.
Please

the right amount of water for your particular application without exceeding
the maximum flow rate that the filter is designed for.
If you wish
to upgrade to a larger pump, please call us to place
your order or make a note in the COMMENTS field on the order form (i.e.
upgrade to Pond-Mag 3 Pump, for example). We will manually adjust your
order and charge you for the difference only.

last Thursday, and the filter (Cyprio Bioforce 2000) arrived via courier
today from Ontario. Haven't had the chance yet to install the filter yet,
but the pump works beautifully. We live in the South East corner of B.C.,
and often, courier or delivery times are delayed. I'm impressed with your
speed of service. No question that I will deal with you in the future.
Matter of fact, I'm probably going to be ordering a fountainhead in the

- quite as expected (it's quite a 'gusher', I like the wrap-around cage
