*** Please check the pump performance charts and max. lift figures to make sure that the system you are purchasing fits your application. The AquaForce™ Pump that is included with each Aquascape UltraKlean™ Pond Filtration Package has been selected to supply the UltraKlean™ Pond Filter with the perfect (or as close to it as possible) amount of water when installed at ground level adjacent to the pond. Please see the illustration shown below.

This type of installation is only suitable for a small amount of vertical lift and a short hose run after the filter discharge. To see more details on each of the pumps, please click on the pump model listed for each kit. |
If you have
a high lift to a waterfall or a long tubing run, for example, we suggest
to install the UltraKlean™ filter at the top of your waterfall rather than
at ground level and selecting suitable components separately and upgrading
to a larger pump as required. Select a pump that
is capable of supplying the maximum amount of flow
that the filter is rated for at the head rating applicable to your
installation.

The Aquaforce™
1500 Pump supplied with the Aquascape UltraKlean™ 2500 Pond Filtration
Package delivers 1,500 GPH max. at a zero foot head. If the UltraKlean™
2500 Pond Filter is installed at ground level adjacent to the pond, the
flow rate supplied by the pump will be close to the maximum of 1,500 GPH
that the filter is designed for, and the ratings for maximum effective
pond volume shown in the chart above apply.
However, if
you have a high lift up to the top of a waterfall or have a long tubing
run after the filter, the pump's flow rate decreases accordingly. At a
3 foot head, for example (= 2 ft. vertical lift from pond surface level
to a waterfall + 10 ft. of tubing), the flow rate of the AquaForce™ 1500
Pump drops down to 1,000 GPH (please see pump performance
chart for details). This in turn affects the performance of the entire
system, and the UltraKlean™ 2500 Pond Filtration Package is thus no longer
suitable for a 2,500 gallon goldfish pond as shown in the chart.
In this particular
case, we recommend to install the UltraKlean™ Pond Filter at the top of
the waterfall instead and upgrading to the AquaForce™ 2000 Pump (please
see pump performance chart for details). With the UltraKlean™ Pond
Filter installed at the top of a 2 ft. high waterfall (measured from pond
surface level) and using 10 ft. of tubing between the pump and the filter
intake, the flow rate of the AquaForce™ 2000 Pump is 1,500 GPH (at a 3
ft. head) which is perfect for the UltraKlean™ 2500 Pond Filter.
Please
click here to calculate your total head, then select a pump that delivers
the right amount of water for your particular application without exceeding
the maximum flow rate that the filter is designed for.
If you wish
to upgrade to a larger pump, please call us to place
your order or make a note in the COMMENTS field on the order form (i.e.
upgrade to AquaForce™ 2000 Pump, for example). We will manually adjust
your order and charge you for the difference only.

I have installed
the MicroSkim, Aquarius
1300 pump, UltraKlean 2500 filter and Oase
aerator. Everything is working powerfully and quietly and the pond
already
seems to be balancing itself, after just an hour. Thanks to you and Diana,
I have gone to "Pond College" over the past eight months and learned a
huge amount about the art of aquaculture/water gardening. It's a wonderful

I'm pretty skeptical about sales claims and testimonials. However,
judging from my experience, I'm sure the testimonials on your website are
genuine.
I did a lot
of research before purchasing a pump, filter (Nursery Pro UltraKlean 2500)
and plumbing bits for our new pond. Ponds Online Canada turned out
