Every one in Koi and pond keeping knows that the biggest killer of fish is the dreaded Aeromonas - especially in the spring and summer period.

Ulcer Disease kills thousands of Koi each year and until now Koi and fish keepers have been relatively helpless. There are, of course, loads of medications and potions all claiming to eradicate this or cure that, but they are all chemicals or antibiotics. While some work, they all have risks since they are all essentially chemicals. So who wants to put chemicals into their fish pond if it can be avoided ? And wouldn't it be better to prevent the illness in the first place ?

The problem, until now, has been that pond keepers have had little choice. Finally, now they do.

KoiZyme - the pro-biotic that effectively prevents Ulcer Disease.

KoiZyme contains no chemicals, no medications and no antibiotics of any kind. It is a proprietary, organic preparation of non-pathogenic bacteria, enzymes and micro-nutrients, and it works on the established principle of an accepted scientific process widely known in commercial aquaculture management called Competitive Exclusion.

KoiZyme is a biological formula of naturally occuring bacteria, enzymes and micro nutrients. KoiZyme will prevent Aeromonas and Pseudomonas from creating ulcers, fin rot, tail rot and mouth rot on koi and goldfish. KoiZyme will actually displace the pathogenic bacteria off the fish. The fishes primary defense against these pathogens is it's slime coat. For KoiZyme to be effective the slime coat must be intact. That is, there must not be any parasites chewing holes in the slime coat. If there are parasites in the pond, any level of Aeromonas or Pseudomonas will start to create sores and fin rot on the fish.

Koi Care PraziPond (Praziquantel)

Praziquantel (‘Prazi’) is the preeminent treatment for flukes. ‘Prazi’ is by far the most gentle, yet effective treatment for flukes available to our hobby. The real bonus with ‘Prazi’ is that when you treat for flukes it also rids the fish of any internal parasites or worms.

‘Prazi’ is also a dewormer for humans and dogs and cats. ‘Prazi’ is so gentle that children as young as 5 years old can take the drug. For dogs and cats it is sold as "Droncit", a dewormer pill.

‘Prazi’ is extremely effective for the treatment of external flukes, liver flukes, internal parasites and internal worms in koi, goldfish and tropical fish. ‘Prazi’ is a one time treatment and because it is so gentle, it does NOT require any water changes after treatment and you do NOT need to bypass your biofilter. Prazi also will work with any amount of salt in the pond and it is not water temperature dependant.

It is also 100 % ‘legal’ unlike Supaverm. ‘Prazi’ has been sought after for years as the fluke treatment of choice but has been unavailable in our hobby, until NOW.

As a preventative, we recommend treating once a year in early Spring.
